Last season the Fenwick girls swim team had plenty of speed in the pool, enough so that the Friars finished third among a strong field at the IHSA State Meet. It doesn't look like the team will be downshifting anytime soon, not with several returners from that state run and a bevy of new and talented swimmers on the team this season.

Listed as a 6-foot-4 junior tight end/linebacker, Ainsworth actually replaced injured quarterback Pat Hart (shoulder) and tossed two touchdown passes to rally the Friars from a 13-0 halftime deficit to a 13-13 tie.
