No cool off period for Fenwick
Swim team ready to improve on last season
By BRAD SPENCER
Last season the Fenwick girls swim team had plenty of speed in the pool, enough so that the Friars finished third among a strong field at the IHSA State Meet. It doesn't look like the team will be downshifting anytime soon, not with several returners from that state run and a bevy of new and talented swimmers on the team this season.

Are you ready for some football?
More night games, new QB, and Stapleton returns for OPRF
By BRAD SPENCER
Web Extra! Slideshow
It's not the game against Class 7A state runner-up Glenbard West that might have the biggest impact on OPRF head football coach Jim Nudera this season. A rematch against Hinsdale Central, the team that edged the Huskies on a controversial play in double overtime last year, will be important but not in the same realm of say OPRF's home opener against York on Sept. 10.
